4 Intensive days in class. Mentor Coaching. Group Masterminding. Independent Study.

The Weekend Intensive is the Academy of Creative Coaching’s accelerated 60-hour and 125-hour program for coaches and professionals seeking certification. This design enables trainees to attend classes live and in person for four intensive days, with independent study, 10 hours of mentor coaching, and group masterminding for those seeking credentialing. Both tracks include group coaching, practice coaching and mastermind facilitation training. Attend in-person or virtually.

Certification-Only VS. Credentialing Track

Certification-Only Track:

Students attend the 4-day intensive only. Program is fully transferable into credentialing track for those who chose to pursue ICF credentials at a later date.

Cost: $2195

International Intensives outside of the Americas cost: $2695

 

Credentialing Track:

Students attend the 4-day weekend intensive + 3 hours of one-on-one mentor coaching, 5 hours of group masterminding, and an independent study course following the weekend.

One weekend = ACC level credentialing track (offered monthly).
Two weekends = PCC level credentialing track (offered annually in June).

Cost: $2795 per weekend

International Intensives outside of the Americas cost: $3495

Thursday ACC Track (8:00am - 6:00pm) – Coaching Foundations

This introductory course focuses on the critical components supporting the coaching profession. Trainees gain an understanding of what coaching is and is not, the ICF core competencies, coaching ethics and standards, and the key elements of an effective coaching conversation.

Friday ACC Track (8:00am - 6:00pm) – Relationship Building

This course focuses on the importance of self-awareness and creating a coaching presence that facilitates effective relationships. Areas of focus include establishing a foundation of trust, building strength-based relationships, recognizing the existence of implicit biases and blind spots that negatively impact relationships, and developing essential cultural competency skills.

Saturday ACC Track (8:00am - 6:00pm) – Effective Communication I

This course focuses on the most central components to any effective coaching engagement: powerful questioning to increase awareness, active listening and communication skills. This course also covers cultural competence and integrates personal diversity development as an important lens to self-awareness.

Sunday ACC Track (8:00am - 6:00pm) – Effective Communication II

A continuation Communication Techniques I, day four of the Weekend Intensive goes into greater depth about communication techniques with increased opportunities for hands-on practice and experiential exercises, including mastermind training, conflict resolution strategies, and coaching with technology.

This course focuses heavily on positive psychology concepts and presents strategic coaching techniques such as motivational interviewing, mindfulness training, and action plan development. Techniques are grounded in positive psychology research such as the coaching with compassion model, post-traumatic growth, self-determination theory, and theories of change.

Friday PCC Track (8:00am - 6:00pm) – Coaching Techniques II

Using our Four Pillars of Creative Change™ to as a backdrop to this course, trainees are challenged to delve more deeply into coaching strategies by exploring human development from the lens of difference. Topics include the intersection of identity, cross-cultural coaching, working with (dis)abilities, and understanding the unique experiences of marginalized communities. The experience concludes with the transformative power of public speaking for change with each trainee preparing and delivering their own talk as it relates to their coaching specializations.
